What a morning at my house looks like.
This past weekend turned out to be everything I wanted it to be and more. My intention was to paint the trim all over the house, and I actually got pretty far in that endeavor. My mom now thinks that I've inherited the uber perfectionist mentality from her, and swears that I am a carbon copy of her. She does this , I think, partly because she believes that it's true, and partly because she likes to irritate the snot out of me with this fact. That is, until it is no longer convenient for her to do so (IE: "You are so hard to deal with Monica," to which I reply, "Well, Mom, I get it from you. After all, I am your carbon copy, remember?") That's when the game, to her, is no longer any fun. However, for me, this is when it gets really interesting.

Aside from painting, I finally got my guys (Hubby Trey and Dad) to do some things around the house that I've been wanting to be done forever. Trey finished the little picket fence in the back yard. Now, our doggers are free to enjoy playing outside. They are so happy. Aww! The finished fence means that it is now time for me to get to painting it. I still haven't decided on a color. With my four days off coming up, I'll have to really focus on getting it done. Dad hung some decor in the living room for me, as you can see above. I just couldn't get a good photo of the other stuff. Maybe another day when the lighting is better.
Look! (below) Lulu found herself a friend. It's a Boston Terrier plush toy that Trey got for me before I finally got the real deal. It materialized the other day from I don't know where, and I put it on the couch with the intention of giving it to the Lu, but she found it before I could introduce it to her. She looks guilty. Don't you think?
