Oh no! Trey came home early today, and I hadn't even started putting the finishing touches on his surprise. See, the clock was the store bought gift, and a constant reminder that I was running out of time, but the handmade card and cupcakes were the real treats. He acted like he didn't see anything when he walked in, so I shooed him into his office until I could ice and sprinkle the cupcakes. I know, I fooled you at first. You thought I'd made them by scratch! You know, I'm a fan of handmade, but when it comes to desert, I'm also a fan of doing things the easy way.
The two pink mugs and saucers were his gift to me from Starbucks. They are exactly what I wanted! I can't wait to sip a morning cup of tea from one of them. I spent the evening making homemade Italian Sausage and Bean Soup, one of my specialties. Then we had cupcakes and coffee. Soon, we will curl up on the couch with our girls, Peanut and Lulu to watch one of our guilty pleasure t.v. shows, Beauty and the Geek.
