Boredom, Boredom Go Away

I have only been working part time for less than a week, and I have already found that I can easily become bored, and/or get cabin fever. Previously, I thought that this was a phenomenon know only to uncreative types. I know that I should be eating up every minute of this new life style, so to remedy the situation I went to the fabric store first thing in the morning. I now know that they don't open until 9 a.m. 9 a.m.? Why that's preposterous! They must think that us part time working gals wake up sometime in the afternoon, eat bon-bons, and then go out to the store.

Anyways, here is the culmination of my trip to the fabric store. These two lovely flower pins were hand stitched, as I don't own a sewing machine. They were also hot glued into being and concocted from a mix of sheer boredom, and the gooey desire to create something pretty.

I pinned one to a sweet clutch that I got from Target. It has gone through a slight metamorphosis since the day that I rescued it from the clearance bin. I used my jewelry making pliers to take many hideous hot pink, plastic beads off the chain, and now have further embellished it as you can see. Voila! The result is a brand new, unique, vintage inspired bag that cost me less than ten dollars.

The other flower is pinned to a blazer that I've had since high school. Blazer: making me appear Beatnik since 1995 Dig?
